Debra Kaye Hamborg and her sister Annette Marie Dingmann were both ordered to serve immediate jail sentences beginning Friday, Oct. 27. Both pleaded guilty in September to embezzling funds from the Sunburg Free Lutheran Church and Norway Lake Township during the time Hamborg acted as treasurer for both organizations.
Debra Kaye Hamborg, 61, of Sunburg, and Annette Marie Dingmann, 60, of Benson, each pleaded guilty to four counts of felony theft. According to court records, Hamborg wrote out nearly $100,000 worth of checks from church and township checking accounts to Dingmann and other family members for nearly five years.

Her sister Annette Marie Dingmann, 59, of Benson, is charged with theft for accepting more than $18,000 in allegedly stolen funds.
