AnnaMarie Knorr was appointed as Maricopa City Council’s newest member tonight. The council gave her the nod over a dozen other applicants for the position vacated by Rich Vitiello, who is running for Pinal County supervisor.
Maricopa City Council has 13 applicants to choose from in the selection of a new council member to fill the seat left vacant by Rich Vitiello. The successful candidate will be sworn in during the regular council meeting May 7 and serve out the remainder of his term, which ends Dec. 1, 2026. Vitiello’s seat has been vacant since April 1.
