deanna durante, nbc 10 news. tonight we are following major developments in two virus outbreaks leading to international concern. fears of enterovirus d68 after two more children in our area are hospitalized with sudden muscle weakness in their arms and legs and now president obama is urging calm in the midst of the ebola outbreak while the white house works on plans to step up airport security as a result. we begin with the ebola outbreak. about an hour ago we learned that the outbreak has the white house now working on plans to do additional passenger screening at airports. meanwhile, an nbc news free lance cameraman with ebola flew from liberia, arrived in nebraska for treatment. he was able to walk off the plane on a gurney and taken to the hospital by ambulance. in another case, doctors at the hospital in dallas say they re using an experimental treatment on thomas eric duncan. and a decontamination crew completed its work at the apartment where duncan stayed. it rem
a bus rollover, approximately 50 people on board were you knew right away it was serious. everyone on that bus had some sort of injury after it rolled over going from delaware 1 south on to route 13 north. a guy who witnessed it tried to help. i guess what really got to me is when i found out one woman died. i do recall someone i guess she was trapped underneath the bus. one man saying my wife, my wife. reporter: 54-year-old chen died at the scene. another woman died at the hospital overnight. today at the scene, an exit hatch rest in the brush along with lots of the victims belongings. the ntsb announced it will be investigating the crash and what led to it. it keeps on replaying in my mind. it made me think about how fragile life is. reporter: the bus driver went to st. francis hospital in wilmington with minor injuries. police are saying drugs and alcohol not appearing to be a factor. the bus was headed home after a long weekend tour in d.c. heading back to th
hospital. reporting live, deanna durante, nbc 10 news. now to more breaking news from skyforce 10. that s where a car has crashed into this house in the city s mayfair section. happened at a home at the intersection of levcik and farnsworth street. this is not the first time we ve covered an accident at this very home in recent weeks. two people were hurt after this tractor-trailer crashed into the same house. neighbors toll us at the time there was a traffic problem in the area. we have in just in as well. lawmakers in harrisburg have passed a bill allowing philadelphia to slap a $2 a pack tax on cigarettes. that money would provide crucial funding for the cash-strapped philadelphia school district. the bill still has to pass in the senate, then go to the governor for his signature. the cigarette tax would give philly schools a much-needed infusion of cash, the district has a huge hole in its $2.6 billion budget. the superintendent says the tax should generate anywhere fro
