新北市動物保護防疫處與台灣動物保護行政監督聯盟共同舉辦「2021友善動物傑出里長奬」選拔，收件將於8月31日截止，聯盟秘書何宗勳表示，新北市有1032個里長，而寵物、野生動物、實驗動物與經濟動物涵蓋在各里之中，是動保運動最重要的基層骨幹，希望藉由里長的典範事蹟讓更多人看見與重視投入動物保護工作。動保處表示，本次選拔分為「動保金牌里長獎」與「動保優質里長獎」，評審委員由動保處遴聘各領域具有聲望的社會賢達、學者專家組成，依據協助動物救援、協助TNVR、協助送養、成立認養小棧、辦理晶片狂犬病疫苗注射活動、協助獸夾巡山活動、宣導飼主責任如遛狗繫狗鏈、推廣飼主遛狗等進行評分。
