Historian Colin Gordon will discuss his new book, “Patchwork Apartheid: Private Restriction, Racial Segregation, and Urban Inequality," at a Public Interest Law & Policy Speakers Series event at noon Monday, Nov. 6, in Anheuser-Busch Hall at Washington University in St. Louis. The book documents the history and consequences of private restrictions in greater St. Louis and other Midwest towns.
The 25th annual Public Interest Law & Policy Speakers Series, sponsored by the School of Law at Washington University in St. Louis, continues with its annual Constitution Day lecture Sept. 26.
Washington University has introduced 5 new local restaurants to campus, while also changing pre-existing dining locations such as the Danforth University Center (DUC) and Bear’s Den (BD) dining halls.
Four popular locally owned restaurants will open locations at Washington University in St. Louis in August. Newcomers include Beast Craft BBQ, Collins Farms, Corner 17 and the Fattened Caf. In addition, Olin Business School will replace the Starbucks in Bauer Hall with a coffee bar that features local roasters.
Washington University in St. Louis will soon transition to a new dining partnership for the Bear's Den, Danforth University Center, the Village Café, concessions and catering.
