Politically, so no sense of getting an apology from him, but the public needs to become aware that he is a sad figure in american politics. angelo falcon, president of the national institute for latino policy. thank you for your time. thank you. and we are following news out of afghanistan where some are calling for a stepped up withdrawal after the death of osama bin laden and other top al qaeda members. the president is expected to lay out a plan for withdrawal this week, but some politicians warn, speeding up the u.s. withdrawal could threaten recent progress made in that country. we are at war with radical islam, and that fight is now in afghanistan, and general petraeus has put the enemy on the heels and if we do it right, five years from now, we can have troops in afghanistan and iraq the same number in south korea, but if we accelerate the withdrawal right now because we are war weary, we are going to lose this war. and joining me now is chief pentagon correspondent ji ....

President obama has to weigh when he makes that decision on how many troops to withdraw, and how quickly later this week and the book on many that we have talked to is that president obama will probably come up with a number larger than the anticipated 5,000 in the initial drawdown. but, that number of that drawdown could be extended over a long period of time, 12 to 18 months, and don t forget that 18 months from now the november election, and less than 18 months from now president obama faces re-election. so that politically, the equation gets into it, too. we won t know exactly what the president s decision is until he makes that announcement later this week. and the political equation does not just affect the president, but it is mitt romney saying it is time to bring the troops home as soon as we possibly can, and the republicans going after their front-runner, and some of them based on his comments there. that is right. and you know, president obama has surprised a lot of peo ....

Hear from the president later this week and fast forward to the rhetoric we heard and expected to be heard over the weekend? well, tamron, a lot of issues are at play here, and one, which you mentioned, you know, america s public enemy number one osama bin laden is dead. there in this war has been dragging on for ten years and americans are quite frankly tired of it, and because of the nation s economy, the strain on that, president obama is under tremendous political pressure to start drawing down american forces from afghanistan in large numbers. and the flipside of that, you have the top u.s. commander in afghanistan, general david petraeus and secretary of defense bob gates saying that any progress made in afghanistan there remains fragile and reversible. they are in the middle of the fighting season right now in afghanistan. and why take the chance of losing all of that progress and perhaps the war, itself, by drawing down too rapidly? so those are the things that ....

the court said is that they mixed too many things d too blun but the more controversial part of the decision, tamron, is the separate 5-4 ruling on what takes to glue a class action together. and what the court said is that these 1.5 million women simply don t have enough in common to have a single lawsuit. in order to have a class action, you have to show for example that some employees took a certain test or some pay was decided by a certain person or region or corporate policy, and they are saying that is lacking in this case. now, what the women had claimed is that even though walmart said it had a policy against discrimination, by letting individual managers make the decision, they sort of allowed gender bias to creep in through a common corporate culture. that was the claim. the supreme court said 5-4, that is not enough. now, it is that part that is going to make it much harder to bring class actions against really big employees, the fortune 100 for example, and ....
