KEZI 9 Checks In March: Mentors in training to help cancer patients

ROSEBURG, Ore. – A new mentor program at the Roseburg Cancer Center aims to help people fighting cancer.
Right now, three new patient mentors are halfway through the training process so they can help others get through one of the toughest times in their lives.
“When you are diagnosed with cancer, it’s a lot of chaos, some loneliness. You need ot be able to reach out and contact people who have gone through the same journey as you, and now you have this mentor who’s going to guide you through the process, said Angelia Freeman with the cancer center.
