As long as the roots are still healthy, there is always a chance it can be saved with some attention and care. While not all survive, it’s immensely edifying when they do. One of my proudest ‘rescues’ is a Hindu rope plant that I bought for a few dollars. We hear the term bandied about. “She’s not a good fit for this particular position.” “I don’t think he would fit in with the rest of the team.” And so on.
