Two families blame Police Officers for the northeast baltimore crash that left their loved ones trapped in flames. Now there is intense scrutiny over the citys nochase policy. We have the departments response new tonight. Reporter flames engulfed vehicles in a fiery accident at york road and northern parkway early tuesday morning. It happened as 26yearold johns and brown fled from officers trying to pull them over. Johns and brown died after their honda accord slammed into a jeep. The passenger in that jeep, angel, also died. Reporter so far, police have only said their officers were following the two men in the honda because of suspected criminal activity. They both have long criminal records. Police have refused to say if lights or sirens were on, or if their officers were following the departments restrictive vehiclal pursuit policy, designed to prevent accidents just like this.
