cold air will produce snow in the higher peaks up around clear lake. early tomorrow morning as the morning commute gets under way, there will be wet pavement and areas of scattered showers, but we ll see sun and i ll tell you how long we can expect that to last a little later. turning now to politics, today the trump administration started its first full workweek with president trump meeting business and union leaders. the president also signed several memorandums, including one pulling out of the transpacific partnership. abc news reporter lana zak is covering it from the halls of congress. reporter: president trump is right now eating with other members of the congressional republican leadership. he also in the white house sort of brushed off the suggestion that there s anything to these new investigations into the nsa director, michael flynn, and some calls that he made with a russian diplomat. this as they re all trying to get away from the shadow of some questionable
it s actually hail in half moon bay. bryce jensen shared this video with us. he said the hail melted in about 20 minutes. and abc 7 news producer shot this video of steady rain mixed with hail at a home in belmont. you can see that pea-sized hail on the ground. and check out falling ice in oakland this afternoon. share video using #abc7now. let s get the latest conditions now from spencer christian in for sandhya patel. we have certainly had the diversity of weather on display today. right now we see patches of green indicating scattered showers continuing to swing through the bay area, some of them producing locally heavy downpours. here s one cell producing some downpours between woodside and portola valley, a lot of wet pavement as the rain continues to fall. we have numerous reports today and continue to have them of pea-size hail all across the bay area. in fact pea-size hail fell for five minutes in redwood city. we are looking at the current pattern of bands of sho
from the point of entry to where it is now. the 18-year-old was going from tracy to see family. when she didn t arrive, family reported her missing. shortly after the sheriff s office says her car clipped another vehicle before entering the creek. her bumper and license plate remained on land. law enforcement agencies spent the morning searching for the vehicle, but officials won t be able to recover it until tomorrow because of the high water. overnight water levels are expected to recede. officials will also turn off water from the reservoirs. it s not like turning off a facet, so the water takes six to eight hours to see a noticeable dissipation. reporter: officials said they ll reclose niles canyon road at 10:00 in the morning. storms are to blame for opening a sinkhole this morning. sky 7 was over the highway as crews filled the hole with concrete. let s take a live look at the traffic map and the big problem the sinkhole is causing. repairs should be done and all

tonight, law enforcement officials are crediting the victim s family for finding what is probably their loved one s car. the 18-year-old crashed off niles canyon road. high water levels mean crews have to wait until tomorrow morning to recover the vehicle. melanie? reporter: out of respect for the family, law enforcement officials are not releasing the victim s name yet. they have shared she was an 18-year-old college student and an aspiring social worker. they also say they believe they will be able to recover home run body tomorrow morning, with her family close by. law enforcement officials are crediting the family of a missing 18-year-old with likely having found her vehicle in this creek. that determination and that love for her is what helped find that car today. reporter: approximately 30 family members walked along niles canyon road today and noticed a pattern in the water. a family member picked up a rock and threw it at the object. reporter: a drone co
