Jamestown Rediscovery has spent the past month celebrating its volunteers, recognizing the contributions of over 40 people who make up almost half of those working at Historic Jamestowne.
A donation from the Jamestowne Society, an organization of members who are descendants of early settlers who lived or held colonial government positions at Jamestown, will help preservation efforts.
Guests can visit the archaeological sites at James Fort, see the site of the original 1617-18 church, meet the archaeologists and learn about the excavations in progress, including a newly discovered well.
