pond here on campbellton drive. now, police have information that the killer left the crime scene on foot, that he didn t run, he actually walked quite a ways into the larger neighborhood. so, the investigation has expanded the search area. police recruits walk shoulder to shoulder in a grid search around the crime scene. they re looking for physical evidence that could lead them to the killer. investigators bagged some items and took them away, but their importance is unclear. one key piece of evidence, the gun has not been found and so the search continues. the day of the murder, we searched trash cans, storm drains, we re searching more of those, we re searching wooded area over here. drainage pond that looks like new construction back there. that is an area that we want to see that make sure nothing was dumped. reporter: 10:20 last wednesday night, a gunman kicked in the door of them home and then shot 17-year-old amber stanley to dea in her bed. investigators have in
