Some parts of the state, including Chennai, has been seeing heavy rains for the past few days. The weather department has revealed that a low-pressure area in the Southeast Bay of Bengal is expected to move west-northwest and develop into a depression. It is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm over the Southwest Bay of Bengal around December 3rd. The cyclone is then projected to move northwestwards and make landfall on the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts early on December 4th. ....
