73-year-old Brighton woman dies after being pulled from Charles River By Emily Sweeney and Ivy Scott Globe Staff and Globe Correspondent,Updated December 16, 2020, 1:06 p.m. Email to a Friend A 73-year-old Brighton woman died Wednesday after Boston firefighters pulled her out of the Charles River, officials said. David Procopio, a spokesman for the State Police, said at approximately 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, police, firefighters, and EMTs responded to a report of an unresponsive person in the water on the Boston side of the river near the the Anderson Memorial Bridge, which connects North Harvard Street in Allston to Cambridge. The woman, who was not identified, was pulled out of the water and taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Procopio said. ....
