A nine-year-old tribal girl was raped and murdered in Bokaro district. The incident occurred when she went missing between 8 pm and 9 pm on Saturday night. The post-mortem confirmed rape and murder by strangulation. The investigation is ongoing to trace the criminals responsible for this heinous crime.
A stack of pipes caught fire at the ONGC gas point in Mahal, Chandankiyari block in Bokaro, resulting in the loss of 400 pipes. The blaze was contained by the fire brigade. ONGC officials quickly arrived at the scene and visited the gas point located in the forest, away from the village, preventing a major disaster. The fire originated in the neighbouring forests and had spread to the gas point, igniting the area where the pipes were stored.
