Police denies nod for Elgaar Parishad

Three years after it was turned into a controversy and despite
permission not being granted for the event in the subsequent two years, the organisers of Elgaar Parishad once again announced their decision to host it, booked a hall and sought permission from the police. However, by late Wednesday evening, the cops turned down their application yet again, this time on the ground of the pandemic, besides law-and-order concerns.
As it happened, even before the authorities could take a decision, the Brahman Mahasangh voiced its objection to the event, harping on the fallout of the last time it was convened. Undeterred, the organisers former judges of ....
