Humanity as a black little girl. reporter: she died last month at a border patrol facility in harlingen, texas. according to the customs and border patrol, the family of five crossed the border from mexico on may 9th, telling officials there that their youngest daughter suffered from sickle cell anemia and heart disease. within days, anadith, complaining of abdominal pains, had tested positive for the flu. she and her family were then transferred to a cbp facility to treat those with communicable diseases. but cbp says in a statement that no medical personnel at that second facility in harlingen acknowledged being aware she suffered from sickle cell anemia or had a history of congenital heart disease. with a fever at one point of 104.9 degrees, anadith s mother, a honduran national, says on the day she died, a nurse repeatedly ignored her pleas to hospitalize her sick daughter. they refused until she passed in her mother s arms so there s no justice that will bring her back. sitt
