Nigeria Immigration ServiceThe Nigeria Immigration Service has deployed the Migration Information Data Analysis System (MIDAS) to various commands of the service to ease operational activities. Comptroller of Immigration, Mr Bernard Zipamor, of the Seme Command, said this on Friday and has commended Mr Muhammed Babandede, Comptroller General of the Service for the feat. x Zipamor gave the commendation during a courtesy visit by executive members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Lagos Council, led by the Chairman, Mr Adeleye Ajayi, to him in Seme. Vanguard News Translate Victory Park Estate Lekki landlords sue AMCON over disregard for court orders On By Innocent Anaba Residents and landlords of Victory Park Estate, Lekki, Lagos State, have accused the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria AMCON, of harassment over their property despite pending court cases and orders. Two of such cases were filed by Mrs B. Ibude and Mr Okechukwu Okoli and his wife against AMCON and its receiver-manager Mr Lanre Olaoluwa. The plaintiffs obtained injunctions against the respondents AMCON and Olaoluwa appealed. The estate spans almost 50 hectares of land and is one of the gated communities in the Igbokushu area of Lekki Peninsula Scheme 1. ....
By Innocent Anaba The ongoing trial of the former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, at the Lagos Division of the Federal High Court for alleged N2.2 billion fraud, was again stalled on Friday, as counsel to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), told the court that his star witness contracted coronavirus. The former governor and a firm, Spotless Investment Limited, were first arraigned on October 22, 2018 for alleged criminal breach of trust, theft and money laundering. He was re-arraigned before Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke on July 2, 2019, after the case was withdrawn from Justice Mojisola Olatoregun, following EFCC’s petition. ....
