You may have been asked by a doctor to rate your pain on a scale of one to ten, but have you ever been asked to rate your itchiness? A team of US researchers have developed a device that records scratching, allowing them to measure the itch people feel.

“Itch torments so many patients across so many conditions. It can be as debilitating as chronic pain,” says Shuai Xu, assistant professor of dermatology and paediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, US. ....

But it s a hard symptom to measure particularly for the 10 million U.S. children with atopic dermatitis, also known as eczema. They can t always verbalize or quantify their suffering via a survey or scale.

You have the symptoms we ve been hearing about for a year now including, fever, chills, cough, loss of taste and smell and now according to News 10 an odd symptom some are experiencing is a toe rash.
According to Mayo Clinic dermatologist Dawn Davis, COVID toes looks just like a well-known rash called pernio, which shows up on skin as sores or bumps that appear after being exposed to cold. She said, COVID toes is a pernio-like reaction that we think is due to inflammation or clotting in the superficial vessels of the feet, likely due to an inflammatory response affecting the blood vessel walls or blood cells, or a combination of both. ....
