A law introduced last legislative session by State Rep. Deanne Mazzochi (R-Elmhurst) would have prevented a recent spate of prosecutions for election fraud in DuPage County, the legislator claims. In the past legislative session Mazzochi filed a bill that would have removed the deceased from voter rolls. The bill has been refiled this The law would allow county clerks to search death registrations to check against voter rolls. Also, those responsible for reporting the death under the Vital Records Act would be compelled to promptly “transmit certified records to the county clerk within seven days after the death.” Advertisement Did you know? Updated 3/9/2021 6:28 PM Five people are accused of committing fraud during the November election in DuPage County, authorities said. Darrick Kent, 43, and Amy Kent, 41, of Austin, Texas, have been charged with perjury for saying they had lived in DuPage for at least 30 days before the election, when they had not, according to the state s attorney s office.
Three others are accused of trying to cast ballots for someone other than themselves. Adam P. Butler, 51, of Lisle, is charged with forgery and perjury. Thomas E. Wojciechowski, 73, of Carol Stream, is charged with perjury. Colleen A. Kirchoff, 60, of Naperville is charged with perjury and two counts of forgery. ....
5 People Charged With Voter Fraud in Illinois: DA’s Office Five people are being accused of various election fraud-related cases during the Nov. 3, 2020, election, according to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office in Illinois. The state attorney’s office said the charges stem from investigations into 32 cases of alleged election fraud, adding that most of the cases have been closed without investigation. However, the office stressed that several remain under investigation, according to a March 9 news release. Those who were charged include Colleen A. Kirchoff, 60, of Naperville; Thomas E. Wojciechowski, 73, of Carol Stream; and Adam P. Butler, 51, of Lisle, officials said in the release. ....
