The annual Napier Mardi Gras festival began in 1913 and continued in one form or another for the next 80 or so years. Its founders, the Thirty Thousand Club, ran it for around 50 of those years.
greek banks and stock exchange are closed for a fifth day. your fourth of july barbecue could get more ex-pensive. burgers is going up. lettuce got more expensive. up 6%. ice cream prices are up a bit and same for beer. chicken and cheese got cheaper. cheese prices are down. i m not a cheeseburger person. hamburger is cheaper. bacon prices are down 18%. something going up. netflix got more expenseive in chicago. residents pay an extra 9% tax to use streaming services like netflix and spotify. the city amended the tax code to include online gaming and television. the city expects to generate $12 million a year for the tax. they are using a tax that exists.
