Share Updated: 1:59 PM EDT May 2, 2021 Since 1999, on the first weekend of May, runners fly through the streets of Cincinnati for the Flying Pig Marathon.On Sunday, even in the midst of the pandemic, they continued to pound the pavement around the region, crossing personal finish lines.Tim Amman has run the race for the last few years, including last year when the race first went virtual.“It’s a lot different than any other year, but it s special in the same way, I guess, you can say,” said Amman.Socially distant, the marathon couldn’t draw in the large crowds and had to keep COVID-19 protocols in stride.
