1803 Hisar, January 10 The police on Sunday registered a case of attempt to murder against 27 protesters, including seven identified persons, in the assault on the vehicle of Deputy Speaker Ranbir Singh Gangwa, who is a BJP MLA from Nalwa Assembly segment, at Arya Nagar village here yesterday. Sandeep Kumar, a security personnel with the Deputy Speaker, suffered injury after which he lodged a complaint with the police. The police spokesperson said that acting on the complaint, the police registered a case under Sections 307 (attempt to murder), 147 (rioting), 149 (unlawful assembly), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty), 341 (wrongful restraint), 291 (nuisance) and 506 (criminal intimidation). ....
