Matric Results: IEB top achievers preferred online learning

Durban - SOME KwaZulu-Natal families are celebrating twice as their twins did exceptionally well in the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) 2020 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations.
Some even made it onto the IEBâs outstanding or commendable achievements lists.
Eighteen-year-old twins Zenya and Amera Naicker from Crawford International College North Coast made it onto the IEBâs outstanding achievements list with 15 distinctions between them. Zenya with eight and Amera with seven.
Zenya was happy and proud of her results when considering the Covid-19 pandemic. â2020 was difficult, especially being in class and learning online. It was very difficult because it was new,â she said.

The 18-year-olds completed their matric at Crawford International North Coast.
Zenya, who received 8 of the distinctions, says it was challenging studying during a lockdown. It was adapting to online learning in our matric year was challenging for everyone. But to do it in your final year of school is something completely different. It was a lot to take in and especially because we couldn t go back to school at the end and we decided to stay online as a precaution.
Her sister, Amera has encouraged other learners still awaiting their results to stay strong.
