The annual springtime clean-up event was cancelled last year due to the pandemic, and question marks remain over whether it will go ahead in 2021.
Interim chief executive of organiser Shetland Amenity Trust Sandy Middleton said the status of the redd up this year is something she has been âgrappling withâ.
Sandy Middleton, who is head of engagement, will take on the role of interim chief executive.
She said it will be for a “short period until further plans can be made in the New Year”.
Shetland Amenity Trust, meanwhile, aims to to “safeguard, enhance, and promote Shetland’s heritage”.
The organisation, which is part-funded by Shetland Charitable Trust, was formed in 1983.
It operates the Shetland Museum and Archives, as well as the Sumburgh Head Lighthouse, while it also oversees the popular Shetland Wool Week.
