WHO signs new agreement with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation
RAMALLAH, Saturday, May 1, 2021 (WAFA) – The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) signed yesterday a $1.5 million agreement with the World Health Organization (WHO) in Palestine to help strengthen the trauma and emergency care system in Gaza.
The new grant will help to further enhance the capacity of the pre-hospital care services, including Trauma Stabilization Points, Emergency Medical Teams and the Ambulance Dispatch Center. It will also improve emergency preparedness level at key public hospitals focusing on pre-stocking of supplies and capacity building. It will also help to further institutionalize the Limb Reconstruction Centre (LRC) as part of the Ministry of Health s tertiary health services.
