In a year when teachers and education staff stepped up to continue teaching children, 14 Topeka Unified School District 501 employees are being recognized for going even further in their mission to provide safe and quality academic environments.
USD 501 hosted its annual Distinguished Staff Awards presentation on Tuesday evening. Although the event had to be virtual for a second year in a row, superintendent Tiffany Anderson said the district remained excited to honor our award winners who help make Topeka such a special place for our families. ....

Mason County Commissioners met with Lakin Hospital employees on Tuesday, including Administrator Danelle Wandling and employees Amber Workman and Annette Hill. POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. Mason County Commissioners met on Tuesday for a regular meeting where they discussed the proposed legislation that could close Lakin Hospital and three other state-run nursing facilities.

Register, House Bill 2626 originated in the House Health and Human Resources Committee and has been sent to the House Finance Committee during this session of the West Virginia Legislature. If passed out of finance and sent to the floor for a vote, any bill ....
