Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has sparked a controversy after making a statement in support of Sachin Vaze, the âencounter specialistâ of Mumbai police who was arrested yesterday night by NIA in connection to the Ambani bomb threat case.
âI believe Sachin Waze is a very honest and capable officer. He has been arrested in connection with gelatin sticks that were found. One suspicious death also occurred. It s Mumbai Police s responsibility to investigate the matter. No central team was needed,â Raut said.

Ambani Bomb Threat Linked To Indian Mujahideen Terrorist In Tihar Jail; SIM, Cell Phone Recovered

On Thursday (11 March), Tihar jail officials conducted a search operation in sub-jail number 8 and recovered the mobile handset and SIM card that was used to create the Telegram account in the name of Jaish-ul-Hind which claimed the responsibility for the explosive-laden SUV found near the house of industrialist Mukesh Ambani on 25 February.
Reportedly, sub-jail number 8 houses members of Islamist terror groups like Indian Mujahideen, Al Qaeda and the Underworld.
The abovementioned mobile phone was recovered from Indian Mujahideen member Tehsin Akhtarâs barracks and he is now a strong suspect in the case. At least 11 inmates were questioned in the case and their belongings were searched thoroughly.

The Ola cab driver who dropped off Mansukh Hiren at CST is being quizzed by the investigation agencies.
According to a
Times Nowreport, the Ola driver told the agencies that Mansukh had initially booked the cab to go from Vikroli to Crawford Market, but at the last minute he changed the destination to near a prominent and renowned restaurant in south Mumbai.
It is still a puzzle as to who Hiren met at the restaurant, and that is what the investigative agencies are looking into now. Reportedly, raids have been conducted by the NIA at several locations in Mumbai as well as Thane in connection with the case.
