nbc s morgan chesky has the latest from edwardsville, illinois. reporter: yeah, alicia, good evening, from edwardsville. it s been a very active day here at the amazon warehouse facility. authorities going in and out with the help of construction crews, removing that debris as quickly, but also, as safely as possible. authorities making it clear to us that they don t believe any of the workers are still missing inside the rubble. but also saying that they want to be careful, just in case anyone else might still be somewhere inside what s left of a warehouse that s about the size of a football field. today, authorities also released the names and ages of the six people killed when that tornado roared through this area late friday evening. and we re also hearing from an amazon spokesperson today on their response. take a listen. it s a tragedy, you know. our thoughts and prayers are with the families who lost their loved ones, with our own family.
this is a pretty new amazon warehouse facility, that massive ef- 3 ripping the roof right off this wall, the length of a football field destroyed. reporter: this northeast arkansas nursing home ripped apart, injuring five and killing one. back here in mayfield, entire homes and businesses, wiped out. including mykel tidwell s pharmacy, now gone, but surrounded by a steady stream of drivers offering to help in any way they can. it just makes you realize that everything you give means something to other people and that they re willing to come and return the favor. reporter: a glimmer of hope amid the darkness. yes, ma am. with the catastrophic damage here going on for miles, the search and rescue efforts are under way tonight, the governor saying that we could see a hundred deaths in this state alone before the day is done. and our hearts go out to all of the families impacted by this. thank you. joining us now is the mayor of mayfield, kentucky.
