India News: The Supreme Court declined the plea of the Andhra Pradesh government challenging the Andhra Pradesh High Court order granting anticipatory bail to former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in connection with an FIR lodged in 2022 with regard to a scam in making a plan for the Inner Ring Road in Amravati city.

Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta, who formed the bench, rejected the State Government s plea.
The Supreme Court dismissed a plea by the Andhra Pradesh government challenging the anticipatory bail granted to TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in the Amaravati Inner Ring Road scam case. The bench noted that an appeal involving the same FIR and other accused was already dismissed last year, and it is not inclined to entertain the state government s appeal in this case
The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a plea of the Andhra Pradesh government challenging the anticipatory bail granted to TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu in the Amaravati Inner Ring Road scam case.
The bench noted that an appeal, arising from the same FIR involving other accused, had already been dismissed by the top court in November, 2022. It said in view of the 2022 order, the bench is not inclined to entertain the state s appeal.
