The introduction of an ordinance authorizing Manchac Consulting Group, Inc. and Atakapa Services, LLC coextension caused much debate at Tuesdays City Council meeting in Bossier City. Out of the 15 ordinances being proposed all passed. Three of the adoptions of resolutions were passed, and one was removed from the agenda. Out of all the ordinances being proposed the introduction ordinance of authorizing Manchac Consulting Group, Inc. and Atakapa Services, LLC extension was opposed by one city councilman. Manchac manages Bossier City s water and sewer utility department while Atakapa Services maintains the city s underground wastewater infrastructure. During its read, councilmen and members of the audience voiced their opinion on the ordinance. Mayor-elect Tommy Chandler and newly elected Councilman Shane Cheatham were two members of the audience to speak in opposition of this ordinance. ....
