Macomb County schools experienced a large bump in coronavirus cases last week, half of which came from parochial or private schools.
Macomb County schools reported 20 new cases of school-related coronavirus in seven schools last week, a time period from Dec. 14-20. That number is an increase over the four cases reported for the week of Dec. 7-13, and zero cases the week of Nov. 30-Dec. 6.

The schools making reports to the Macomb County Health Department and then the state Department of Health and Human Services include:
• Glen H Peters School in Macomb Township, a cognitive impairments program run by the Macomb Intermediate School District, with two cases reported by staff. ....
