City wants to hold Amaazz accountable for incomplete project

The city administration is considering revoking the bond for the Amaazz Construction company from New Albany for failing to meet the December 4, 2020, deadline to complete the Clark Street project. 
This comes on the heals of the county commissioners announcement last week that they too are considering revoking a bond for Amaazz for not meeting a completion deadline for the Glass Avenue project in Byesville. 
Work began on the $1 million project to replace 7,000 feet of waterline in February 2019. Removal of the current road bed and reconstruct new sidewalks, curbs and gutters started later that year. Most of the work has been completed. What remains is planting grass seed, doing the dirt work along the sides of road, and some cement work on the sidewalks. New trees will then be planted by the Cambridge Tree Commission. ....
