"Starting June 1, we will go back to normalcy already," he told reporters. This week, the Provincial Capitol offices will resume the five-day workweek and the curfew is also expected to be lifted across the province. LEGAZPI CITY - The Philippine Statistics Authority in Albay (PSA-Albay) on Friday has urged more Albayanos to register for the Philippine Identification (PhilID). Cross Doreh Lee, PSA-Albay spokesperson, said the aim is to register 543,588 persons this year, but so far, only about 3.56 percent of the target has registered. "As per data, we already have 19,137 registrants who have already captured biometrics and demographic data, equivalent to 3.56 percent of the total target in Albay," she said in an interview. Lee said a total of 120,977 PhilIDs have been delivered to the recipients so far. Asked why there are delays in receiving the IDs, Lee said before printing, the IDs undergo thorough verification, apart from other factors. In an interview, Cross Doreh Lee, PSA-Albay spokesperson, said the number represents 73 percent of the 1,085,367 target residents of the province for enlistment in the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). The Step 2 process validates supporting documents and captures biometrics including iris and fingerprint scans and front-facing photographs at local registration centers. The FRC-Sar-Gen is located at E.J. Yomon Building along Santiago Boulevard in Barangay Lagao, General Santos City. Registration is open from Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on certain national holidays.
