Dollar General Will Pay Employees who Choose to Get COVID Vaccine As the COVID-19 pandemic continues into 2021, there s a light at the end of what s been a dark and deadly tunnel: The COVID-19 vaccine. While many will opt to skip the vaccine, others are patiently waiting their turn to receive the first of two doses. To incentivize its employees to get the vaccine, one major retailer is offering its employees a chance to make a little extra money. Dollar General employees can receive the equivalent of 4 hours of standard pay (half a standard shift) to get vaccinated against COVID-19. The company, which has 12 locations in and around the Cedar Valley, will not be mandating any employee to get vaccinated. But its hoping by offering half a days pay, that more employees will choose to get the vaccine when they are eligible. ....
