Bolstered by four wins in Thursday's field events, Redwood took gold in both hurdles events to lock up the girls championship pennant ahead of Tam and Archie Williams.
Senior Max Dunmire was the first across the finish line in his division race, spearheading the Tamalpais High boys championship run at the North Coast Section finals Saturday at Hayward High.
The cross country season got underway this past week with the Stinson Beach Relays. Redwood's boys and Archie Williams' girls had a strong showing there then most of Marin's top runners went on to compete at the Lowell Invitational.
“Angelique (Addae) and I have been pushing each other every race all season,” said Tam High sophomore Sabine Szylko, who edged her rival from Marin Catholic in both the girls 100 and 200 meter races.
