determined the time has come for me to give my thoughts on the results of the
Western Australian general elections held on Saturday 13 March. The first point

preferred vote Mark McGowan secured 69.7 per cent. Andrews could only manage

Buttoning his jacket and stepping toward the throng of awaiting cameras, he strode alone into the function room full of 100 awaiting friends, family, and Liberal supporters with the knowledge only two of his colleagues were likely to be returned in parliament’s lower house.
