Image Source: IANS News Kabul, Dec 11 : The Afghan National Directorate of Security (NDS), the country s intelligence agency, has arrested multiple suspects over the murder of a female journalist in Jalalabad city, officials said on Friday. On Thursday, Malalai Miwand and her driver were shot dead by unidentified gunmen, reports Xinhua news agency. The victims had worked for a private radio TV station in Jalalabad, the capital city of Nangarhar province. The officials from provincial government said in a statement that the suspects were arrested hours after the murder. ....

Malalai Miwand who worked for a private radio TV station was gunned down by unidentified armed men in Jalalabad city in the morning rush hour today and culprits made their escape, Khogiani told Xinhua. The official said efforts are underway to bring the perpetrators to justice. Miwand s driver was also killed in the attack, hospital sources said.
