Local community worker Eamonn Baker pays tribute to his Creggan neighbour Wesley Colhoun who passed away recently. -
My next door neighbour (on my left) at 35 Demesne Avenue was the one and only Wesley Colhoun.
Wesley was born and reared in 35 Demesne, that terrace of houses overlooking what we still refer to as the “ New Road”, a terrace built a dozen years or so before the Londonderry Corporation initiated the post war creation of the Creggan Estate.

Two Derry cemeteries will be closed this morning because of the icy conditions.
A spokesperson for Derry City and Strabane District Council said the City Cemetery and Altnagelvin Cemetery will be closed for a period this morning because of the current conditions.
The spokesperson said that any funerals will proceed as normal. Please take care if you are out and about today as pathways are slippy, the council spokesperson added. );
