∫ The Montmorency County Board of Commissioners paid tribute to past board members at its first meeting ain February. The commissioners honored long-time commissioner Bert LaFleche, Darryl Peterson, and Dave Wagner. Each of the men received a plaque saluting their service and accomplishments.
The board also received an update from Sheriff Chad Brown who informed them a recent inspection was complete and the jail was in 100% compliance. The commissioners also voted to purchase a pair of patrol cars for $75,900.
Julie Kendrick was appointed to the Montmorency County Council on Aging, as the Atlanta senior representative.
