Today we want to provide a few updates of where we are and and some very serious challenges that we face. So far as of today, we have confirmed 797 cases and sadly 13 people have lost their lives due to the virus. The covid19 virus. And we had said all along that this would be very challenging, and in fact, in the past week or so, dr. Colfax and i continued to make it clear that it is of course important to stay at home as much as possible. Because the fact is the worst is yet to come. So today, we have come together for a historic day. Today, we gather to honor 50 years of pride. Yes, 50 years. [applause] this anniversary was hard fought from the days of the Freedom Freedom parade to compton cafeteria riots, to all the work across this country that we continue to do for freedom. And if we look, our theme for this years pride is future of hope. And if we look to the next 50 years, we have a lot to be hopeful for. We look at our past and marriage equality, to the first day at city hall when the first couple was married. We recognize lesbian and lgbtq folks across the city. We remember the work that we have to do across the country as trans kids are being refused access to bathrooms in our schools. We remember the families that standup for them, and we remember the work that we still have to do because this generation is hopeful. This generation will continue to be hopeful, and theres so many reasons why we have this hope. Some of that comes from our elected officials,
Nightclub. Busy bar on the weekends friday and saturday nights. We are not the only bar in the neighborhood. Across the street is the horseshoe and five or six other restaurants down the street. We are the corner where everybody mingles. It is not necessarily the dorian. I cant control across the street what happens in the door doorways. What we are trying to do is we are a neighborhood bar trying to additional element to it to bring in more people, to bring in more people to the neighborhood to have the neighborhood people join us more often, add another experience to it. We dont want to do crazy bands to 4 00 a. M. We have another nightclub. We are not that. We are a restaurant with a jazz band on thursday night during happy hour, not doing craziness.
