Play It Again, Sam and Godspell grace Eustis, Leesburg stages

Here’s your lineup along with a look ahead.  “Play It Again, Sam” The Melon Patch Players in Leesburg open “Play it Again, Sam” Friday and it plays until May 23.  In the play written by Woody Allen, Allan Felix has this thing about Humphrey Bogart – if only he had some of Bogart’s technique. The recently-divorced young Allan is bookish and insecure with women. Luckily his hero, Bogey, comes to the rescue with a fantastic bevy of beauties played out in hilarious fantasy sequences. In the real world, fixed up by friends with gorgeous women, Allan is so awkward that even Bogey s patience is tested. Allan mostly resembles a disheveled, friendly dog, which ultimately charms his best friend s wife, Linda, into bed.
