Push for more time on green wedge plan - Bayside News

Push for more time on green wedge plan Picture: Yanni MORNINGTON Peninsula Shire is making a submission to the Melbourne Green Wedges and Agricultural Land Consultation (MGWAL) paper despite wanting the public exhibition time extended to at least the end of the month. The shire is concerned it will not have enough time to “consult with the community” over the plan which had a deadline for public comment of 5 February. It will also arrange a poll to “ask if the public agrees with the council’s response”. The state government’s Planning for Melbourne’s Green Wedges and Agricultural Land website says, “robust planning controls are needed to maintain the benefits provided by green wedges and manage land use to support long term agricultural use that serves the needs of Melbourne’s growing population”.

Luckily, this friendship didn't end in beers

Luckily, this friendship didn t end in beers We’re sorry, this service is currently unavailable. Please try again later. Dismiss Luckily, this friendship didn t end in beers January 11, 2021 9.00pm Normal text size Advertisement American beer (C8) is copping a serve here at the moment. Janice Creenaune of Austinmer says: “The worst beer in the US is often those not familiarly quoted. While working in Minnesota in 1998, I bought my husband a different ‘suitcase’ of beer each week for the experiences. On one occasion I bought Schmidt s and took my contribution to a local party. Of course, we left the unused behind for the hosts and guests. The next day they were returned to our front doorstep with an accompanying note. ‘Real friends don t leave Schmidt s behind.’ We do remain marvellous friends even after 20 years, but we had learnt our lesson and were careful not to take that brand again.”
