safe place. what does that do to you? one of the things we re talking about, the tragedy of nine people being killed in dayton last night and 20 being killed in el paso. we don t think that those who are not victims of the gunshot, but those who saw it and how it makes them think about gun violence and safety in society. people that experienced it and got away. that has to be scary for you. yeah. it makes you fearful. we knew what happened in texas earlier that day. but it didn t make me prepare myself for a possible shooting. you never know when somebody might come and do something like that. everybody, you know your loved ones? everybody accounted for? yes. all my loved ones, friends of my neighborhood and friends of people that i know, a couple people i know, dispass away.
it s traumatizing. this ain t no game. i feel for a lot of people that i can t get to because i am only one guy, my brother and i. hopefully i made some type of change, i saved a life or two. that s all that matters. parts of homestead are under a mandatory evacuation. he s not leaving and he joins me now. joel, i know you ve been doing so much to help others. you were planning to evacuate. but late last night you decided not to. how come? well, ma am, a lot of reasons why, ma am. i created a buddy system where all my loved ones and my wife s loved ones as well evacuated, but it just didn t work out. due to the fact that they have many, many years here in homestead and us being growing up here, we just, you know, decided that we re going to stick it out and we re not going to leave one another
