疫苗購捐無望鎩羽而歸？佛光會：已放下 - 生活

國際佛光會中華總會長趙怡6月間曾接受中時記者訪問時表示，在嬌生藥廠宣布只跟政府洽談疫苗採購事宜後，佛光會就沒再繼續洽談相關事情，並已恢復公益團體的運作，佛光會拋磚引玉起個頭，希望政府能夠洽談成功，未來則願意捐贈所承諾的50萬劑疫苗經費。
趙怡表示，佛光會在新冠肺炎疫情嚴峻之際，希望表達對台灣人民的一份關懷，才會想捐贈50萬劑嬌生疫苗，但嬌生藥廠只想跟政府洽談此事，政府已與嬌生建立對接窗口，佛光會已經盡力，「我們只是拋磚引玉起個頭」，對政府洽談事宜樂觀其成。
趙怡說，政府出面與嬌生洽談疫苗採購事宜後，佛光會就沒再繼續討論相關事情，恢復到做一個社會公益團體，會上也積極在研究討論如何幫助全民，發揮擴大安定人心的力量。
