It’s been 70 years since an interracial collaboration was started to end racial discrimination against Native Americans in Sheridan and Johnson Counties.
Now those that formed the collaboration as well as the festivities that took place to promote the cause will be remembered.

There was standing room only at the Dedication of the All-American Indian Days Memorial took place on Monday, October 9, at the Rotary Park in the Sheridan Historic Railroad District across from the Historic Sheridan Inn.

During the dedication of the All-American Indian Days Memorial, Amya Whelan of the Wind River Indian Reservation performed a hoop dance as part of the ceremonies.
Permission was obtained to record and show the dance.

To date, renovations have cost $91,325 and have included removal of the chain link fence surrounding the locomotive, a new irrigation system, among other upgrades. Renovations yet to be completed
