The event showcased the launch of a Digital Booklet in Indian Sign Language by the Chief Guest, containing 30 videos covering seven chemistry experiments.
Dr Alka Rao of the CSIR Institute of Microbial Technology was presented NCPEDP-Mphasis Universal Design Award 2023. She has been dedicated to fostering inclusive STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education for individuals with disabilities, particularly the deaf community, through comics, games, infographics, and simulations.
