Daylight Saving Time is Sunday. That means an hour of lost sleep that can lead to an entire week of recovery, according to AARP. Fortunately, there are ways to make the time change less painful.
Springing the clocks forward by one hour “can really mess with our bodies and our heads,” Alison Gwinn reports for AARP. The disruption to wake and sleep cycles goes beyond feeling tired for one day.
Studies have shown that during the week after the annual spring forward, there are more fatal car accidents, heart attacks and atrial fibrillations; harsher legal sentences are harsher; and workers tend to cyber-loaf more, the report said. ....
