If there was one bright spot for music during the pandemic year of 2020, it would be
The Go-Go s, the documentary about the popular and beloved all-female rock band. First broadcasted on Showtime this past July, the Alison Ellwood-directed film garnered rave reviews and put a renewed spotlight on the Go-Go s, who achieved tremendous success during the first half of the 1980s. The documentary s reception even caught Jane Wiedlin, the band s guitarist-singer, by surprise.
On May 14, 2021, The Go-Go’s’ critically acclaimed 2001 reunion album,
God Bless The Go-Go’s, celebrates its 20
