The annual ‘Penarth in Bloom’ Best Decorated Christmas Tree competition has been awarded to Osmond Drake Opticians. The winner’s certificate and Christmas wreath were gifted by Town Mayor and competition Judge, Cllr Mark Wilson who said he loved the hand crocheted ‘Partridge in a Pear Tree – Tree’ and a ‘French Hens Tree’ to match this year s theme of the 12 days of Christmas. Cllr Wilson said: Osmond Drake have taken part in the Christmas tree competition for many years and are always enthusiastic at Christmas time. Their tree for 2020 really showed off their fun personality and creativity. Osmond Drake are a third-generation family business providing the best eye care for the people of Penarth since 1958. The quirky trees are located at their Glebe Street shop in Penarth s town centre.
